Virat KohliVirat Kohli is an Indian international cricketer and also right-arm medium fast blower. Commonly Called as ‘Standout’ Player of team India.

Early Days

Virat Kohli was born on 5th November 1988 in Delhi. Kohli’s father is Prem Kohli,a lawyer and her Mother is Saroj Kohli. He has a elder brother, named Vikash, a lawyer too and an elder sister named Bhavna. He did his schooling in Vishal Bharti and Savier Convent in Delhi.

Virat Kohli initially start his cricket training in West Delhi Cricket Academy. He also played few matches for Sumit Dogra Academy in Noida.

As a Cricketer...

Kohli was first noticed while playing for Delhi in Ranji Trophy against Karnataka. In the match her performed well and score 90 runs, it's a great commitment to the team and also his innings turned out to be crucial. In 2008 Under 19 Cricket World Cup, Kohli was captained to the Victorious Indian team held in Malaysia. He scored 235 runs in 6 matches and also a century against West Indies. In this tournament he took every match seriously and hated being on the bench.

In 2009 Kohli scored a century and win the game against South Africa by 17 runs. He is the leading run scorer of the tournanment and 398 runs in seven matches including 2 centuries and 2 fifties.

In 2008 IPL kohli played for Royal Challengers Bangalore and he bought $30,000 for the first season but he didnot perform well scoring 165 runs and 2 wickets in 13 innings. In 2009, Kohli performs improved scoring 246 runs, 9 catches and 2 run outs in 16 innings. In 2010 he scored 307 runs including 2 centuries in 13 innings. In 2011, he is the 2nd highest run scorer in the tournament. In 2012 kohli scored 364 runs in 16 matches. Kohli’s performance in IPL is rapidly improved.

  • In ODIs India Against pakistan, he is the highest scorer batsmen.
  • In 2012, he is ICC ODI Cricketer of the year.
