Bandipur National Park - South Indias largest protected area

Bandipur National ParkBandipur National Park is one of India's best and well managed national park. It located in the Chamarajanagar district of Karnataka, India.

It spreaded about 874 kms and considered as one of the best wild life sanctuaries in India. Also it is an important Project Tiger reserve in India.

The sanctuary was created at karnataka in 1931 covering 90Kms. Later extended over 800Kms for effective wildlife conservation. The sanctuary is famous for Sandalwood trees and has rare species of Flora.

It located at the foothills of the Western Ghats and three rivers Kabini, Nagur and Moyar flows through this reserve.

The reserve region carries comfortable climate all the time with temperatures ranging from 19 to 28°C.
